October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And we wear pink, raise money to help fund life-changing breast cancer research for this worthy cause. This Soft Pink outfit came together on a whim and I call it. "A Repurpose Monochromatic Lewk for a Purpose". That's a mouthful. . . if I say so myself. My usual attire is on the wild side, or made up of vivid colors. So this Monochromatic tone down lewk is not what I would gravitate to. But, to my surprise I really liked it. The pants were purchased in April from Macy's Last act section. When I saw them marked down to $9.96, I grabbed them in blue too. The fitting room was too crowded, thought they would fit, so home they went.
When I did try them on weeks later, they were too big. Decided to return them for another size, only to be told that "Last Act" items were now Final Sale and therefore not returnable. That was news to me, so I was stuck with them. Both pairs were moved to the back of the closet with no rhyme or reason. Until, the swimsuit cover-up found its way to my house and it was a match for the pink pants. I did have to make some minor adjustment to the waistband and the pants were good to go. Yes. .this topper was a swimsuit coverup. Got it from the Target summer clearance. I'm always browsing the clearance racks for clothing items to repurpose, and I do get giddy when I see fabric that I can re-use at low cost. Did not have to do anything to the coverup to wear it here, just cut off the price tag.
