Vaccine Madness is also in effect. Will the Vaccine end the pandemic? Just a few days ago. . . A Harvard Immunologist said current vaccines appear to be effective enough to end the pandemic, despite growing concerns that more infectious COVID-19 variants would severely blunt the effectiveness of the preventative treatments and set the nation back in its fight against the disease. But, so many US citizens have turned a deaf ear and have refused to trust the Science. My well seasoned neighbor told me last week. . . "she is not putting that poison in her body". And she is not alone, many people not only have reservations, they flatly Refuse to take it for no specific reason. Everyday, Babies are given several vaccines to develop immunity from potentially harmful diseases. By age 6 months they have already received several vaccines including: DTaP, Hib, IPV, PCV, RV and the Flu shot. If their tiny bodies can accommodate all of that, why can't Adults take 2 or 3 vaccines? Hold that thought. . .
Reaching the levels of infection needed to achieve herd immunity without a vaccine could be devastating,
potentially overwhelming health care systems & leading to an extraordinary number of deaths.
As many Americans scramble to arrange appointments for their first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, some health care workers are declining to be inoculated. A significant percentage of doctors, nurses, EMS workers, support staff and other health care employees said they turned down the vaccines over concerns that the development of the vaccine had been rushed. Of course, some Americans may have more understandable reasons for doubting vaccination than others. African-Americans, for instance, may be hesitant to trust a public health community that so recently treated them as guinea pigs. Fortunately, by the time the vaccine is fully available, tens of millions of Americans will likely have been vaccinated safely. Waiting for additional evidence of efficacy, as recently suggested by singer Dionne Warwick, may not be ideal, but doing so is far different from outright refusal.
Personally, I think it's wrong, dangerous and a risk of harming others to refuse a COVID-19 vaccine (absent medical exemption, of course). But, I do not believe the government should dictate what you can or cannot put in your own body! Forcible injections ring every alarm in our political culture. We all lost faith in the CDC when it was taken over by Politics and rendered useless in committing to the health of all Americans. And, authorities in the United States have never attempted to jail people for refusing to vaccinate, but other countries like France have adopted the aggressive tactic. The legal precedent dates back to 1905. In a landmark U.S. Supreme Court case, Jacobson v. Massachusetts, the court ruled Massachusetts had the authority to fine people who refused vaccinations for Smallpox back then. Thank goodness President Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci both agree that a national mandate would be legally and ethically Unacceptable.
The Madness will continue as we all face a choice, individually and collectively, between saving lives and preserving freedoms. Only, for many, the tables will be turned. Those who reject public health measures, including vaccines, in the name of liberty will soon face an ongoing risk of fatal disease as those who are vaccinated will be outside enjoying life. In fact, the willfully unvaccinated may continue to threaten the health of the vaccinated public by requiring hospital space for COVID-19 care, as well as health care resources that might be spent otherwise, such as the ongoing development of cures for cancer. I got mine and want to Enjoy this Life I have been Blessed with. What say You?
