Mr. Metrosexual

Sure your guy might be following recently acceptable trends and getting a manicure once in a while, but now he is adding a spa pedicure or eyebrow waxing to his visit. Is this the man you fell so in love with? It was not very long ago, that a young man dating a lady only wanted to dress well, smell manly and have his own car. Not a new car but his "own" car.  Now, there He is deep in the hair-care aisle, carefully selecting the product du jour, in the salon getting his eyebrows waxed, a facial or having his nails buffed to the perfect shine, while checking out the latest fashion magazines --- it's not a bird, not a gay man, it's a Metrosexual!

met-ro-sex-u-al (noun/adjective)(Google)
"A usually urban heterosexual male given to enhancing his personal appearance by fastidious grooming, beauty treatments, and fashionable clothes."

Today it is more common for the modern man to pay extra attention to his grooming habits than the men that came before him. Just look at recent male celebrity role models like David Beckham, Tom Brady and my favorite Johnny Depp. These men are jocks who parlay their looks into the beds of some good looking women. So, when I heard that Johnny Depp was wearing a "mangagement ring" it was hard to believe. Just a couple of years ago he was proclaimed the "Sexiest man Alive" by a reputable publication, now not so much. Last year Miami Heat basketball star Dwayne Wade, showed up wearing his suit with Capri pants, ankles and shins showing. Most of us were just shaking our heads. Are men more fickle than women?

It just doesn't stop there -- Men are carrying a man purse also know as a 'Murse'. Wearing enhancements of all kinds. Brazilian waxing to the max. Pelvic grooming and get this - Genital Rejuvenations! Yes. . they are having their Scrotum dewrinkled & lifted;  Botox balls;  some nip & tuck here and there. You aren't the only one noticing that guys are paying more attention to the way they look -- the beauty industry is taking note as well. According to recent financial reports, consumers spend almost two billion dollars more on male grooming products then they did ten years ago. How can women be willing to support a man who has more cosmetics in his goody bag than they do? Nothing would turn off a real woman more, than watching a man take off his make-up or his Spanx before getting into bed. That is a No for me. . that man is too selfish. I don't care how much he has, or how drop dead gorgeous he is. What say You?
