Celebratin'

 

I am still celebrating the Gift of Life and my Birthday which will continue to the year’s end.  Last Wednesday, my Ride or Die Cuz who is also celebrating her birthday, and I went to Margaritaville on Hollywood beach for some libations. This location which opened about a year ago has been on my radar and this was our first time there. We have been to many Margaritaville’s in the caribbean and expected a party atmosphere, so we went early in the evening to avoid the rush hour crowd and we were so disappointed. There was no happy hour crowd, no decent music and the food was a lot to be desired. We expected to mingle, get our drinks on and enjoy the evening as we have in other locations and we had to leave after a few.  Eventhough it was the night before Thanksgiving, we still expected to see the happy hour crowd and the beach vacationers having a good time. Not so. There were vacationers there, but they were not Happy. Margaritaville in Hollywood, Fla. Sucked!An hour and half later we had to leave. We got out of the parking lot and headed to Bahama Breeze where the one-man-band entertained us, we got our drinks on in a glass (not plastic) for a few hours. Lesson learned. . . not all Margaritavilles are the same. If you want to have a darn good time, pull up to Margaritaville in Montego Bay, Ocho Rios or Negril in Jamaica and experience the real after hour party. I cannot wait to go. . .
